In order to strengthen friendly, cooperation ties with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Foreign Minister Félix Plasencia held a meeting with Ambassador to Venezuela Ri Sung Gil.
At the meeting, the two diplomats expressed their will to strengthen their countries’ diplomatic relations.
Venezuela and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea established relations in 1965, and they were strengthened by Commander Hugo Chávez thanks to his integrationist policies.
The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea has recognized the legitimate government of President Nicolás Maduro by expressed its support on different occasions.
