Venezuela’s, Turkey’s foreign ministers condemn unilateral coercive measures, foreign meddling at meeting in New York

Venezuela’s Foreign Minister Félix Plasencia and his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu held on Monday a bilateral meeting where they condemned the imposition of unilateral coercive measures on their populations, mainly by the U.S. Government.

The meeting took place in New York, where they are participating in the 76th Session of the UN General Assembly.

“We condemn the meddling that’s attacking us in a deceptive way,” stressed the Venezuelan Foreign Minister Félix Plasencia on his Twitter account @PlasenciaFelix, thus reaffirming Venezuela’s and Turkey’s stance in the defense of the respect for sovereignty of states and the self-determination of countries.

On August 24, Foreign Ministers Plasencia and Çavuşoğlu held a telephone conversation to review issues of bilateral interest, exchange information on regional geopolitics and reaffirmed the importance of continuing strengthening the strategic cooperation between Caracas and Ankara.
