In order to strengthen solidarity-based ties, Venezuela’s Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza held a meeting on Friday with delegations from the Basque Country and the Spanish State following their participation in the Bicentennial Congress of the Peoples of the World.
The delegation of the Basque Country included Iñaki Ruiz de Pinedo, EhBildu deputy; Alberto Garro, mayor of Ziortza-Bolíbar; and Asier Altuna, chief of International Relations of the Sortu Party. The delegation of the Spanish State included Euro MP Manu Pineda and members of the Communist Party José Luis Centella and Marta Martín, and Romain Migus from France.
At the meeting, they discussed the progress of the left in Europe, the Venezuelan situation, the forthcoming regional elections in the South American country and other aspects related to domestic and international politics.
Foreign Minister Arreaza thanked the representatives of the Basque Country for their solidarity with Venezuela.
Likewise, Arreaza and the international visitors discussed the reality of each country and of the American and European continents.
