The Vice-minister for Latin America of the People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations, Rander Peña, held on Tuesday a meeting with the Peruvian political leader, Walter Aduviri Calisaya, international delegate at the Bicentennial Congress of the Peoples of the World, which runs until this 24 June in Caracas.
During the meeting, the Venezuelan diplomat and the former regional governor of Puno (2019-2020) discussed the political situation in the region, with emphasis on the countries of origin of each, in the context of the global COVID-19 pandemic, the imperial aggression to which Venezuela is subjected and the recent presidential elections in Peru.
“We embrace the idea of continuing to raise the flag of Bolívar in the necessary construction of the American union”, said Vice-minister Peña.
The union and solidarity of the peoples constitute the central axes of the varied programming of the Bicentennial Congress of the Peoples of the World, an event included in the commemoration agenda of the 200 years of the Battle of Carabobo, a decisive feat in the independence of Venezuela and that encouraged emancipation processes in the rest of the region.
