The Bicentennial Congress of the Peoples of the World begins in Caracas

The Bicentennial Congress of the Peoples of the World was officially installed this Monday in Caracas and will run until June 24, the day of the commemoration of the 200 years of the Battle of Carabobo, with an international chapter in which representations of all the continents will participate.

“With the joy and fraternity that characterizes us, we welcomed more than 500 international delegates who arrived to participate in the installation of the Bicentennial Congress of the Peoples of the World, a space in which we will make history! United We will win!”, Said on his Twitter account the Vice-minister of Foreign Relations for Latin America, Rander Peña.

The Executive Secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP), Sacha Llorenti, offered a keynote address during the installation ceremony.

The union and solidarity between the peoples constitute the central axes of the varied programming of the event, convened to signify the historical transcendence that the victory of the patriot army had in the deed of Carabobo for the independence of the South American nation.

The international participants, organized by sectors or spaces for dialogue such as sex-diversity, indigenous people, habitat and housing and women, among other representatives, will debate on the strategies of struggle and unity of the progressive forces, as well as other topics of common interest to the peoples.
