The President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, chaired on Friday the opening of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, which will be held on June 18-30 under the theme “Innovative Diplomacy: New Era, New Approaches” to debate on the world’s crisis and opportunities.
The meeting is attended by heads of State and Government from eight countries, and foreign ministers from nine nations. Other countries will have representatives at different levels. The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security, Josep Borrell, will attend this meeting as “host country guest.”
The Venezuelan delegation is headed by the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, Jorge Arreaza, who arrived in the Eurasian nation on Thursday and has held different meetings with authorities from Turkey and other countries attending the forum.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoglu pointed out that the Conference of Foreign Ministers of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum aims to “reinforce influence on diplomacy, on the terrain and opinion.”
