The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, held a meeting on Friday in the city of Antalya, Turkey, with Josep Borrell, Vice-President of the European Commission and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
At the meeting, held on the occasion of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum themed “Innovative Diplomacy: New Era, New Approaches,” the two diplomats reviewed the relations between Venezuela and the European Union, talks in the Caribbean nation and the current reality in the two regions.
On his official visit to Turkey, the head of the Venezuelan diplomacy is following an intense agenda, including meetings with his counterpart from the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Javad Zarif, and South Africa’s Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Alvin Botes.
The Antalya Diplomacy Forum is attended by heads of State and Government from eight countries and foreign ministers from nine nations. The opening of the forum was chaired by the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
