In order to strengthen friendly and cooperation ties, the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, Jorge Arreaza, held on Friday a bilateral meeting in Turkey with Alvin Botes, Republic of South Africa’s deputy minister of International Relations and Cooperation.
At the meeting, the two diplomats reviewed the bilateral, multilateral agenda under the premise of promoting multilateralism, away from blockades or sanctions, and announced the holding of a business meeting between their countries by the end of the year.
In this regard, Deputy Minister Botes reaffirmed South Africa’s solidarity with Venezuela and condemned the unilateral coercive measures imposed on the South American country, Cuba and Zimbabwe.
The meeting took place in Antalya, Turkey, on the occasion of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, held from June 18-20.
Currently, Venezuela and South Africa have different agreements to develop strategic areas for the benefit of their peoples. In recent years, the two nations have strengthened their cooperation, solidarity-based relations in different international scenarios.
