As part of the Diplomacy of Peace promoted by President Nicolás Maduro, the Venezuelan Vice-president Delcy Rodríguez arrived in Qatar on Tuesday on an official visit to review and strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries.
Since the Bolivarian Revolution came to power, the two countries have endorsed bilateral agreements in the economic, legal, customs, oil, sports and air transport areas, among others.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has maintained diplomatic relations with Qatar since 1973 at the highest level based on respect, solidarity and cooperation in order to preserve their sovereignty and self-determination.
