On the occasion of the significant celebration of Russia Day, at a time when its undisputed leadership and respect at the international level is strengthened, the photographic exhibition entitled Pristine Russia, dedicated to the natural beauties and other attractions of the Eurasian nation, was inaugurated this Thursday.
During the cultural event, the Russian ambassador accredited to Venezuela, Sergey Mélik-Bagdasárov, assured that the exhibition has great symbolism and that it reflects the constant rapprochement that is being made between both countries, which share the vision of a pluripolar and multicenter world.
He also gave a brief account and update of the strategic alliance of Russian-Venezuelan cooperation, highlighting the recent agreements signed in the financial, energy, military, educational, scientific, technological, pharmaceutical and transportation, among other areas; including two “historical events”, the first when Venezuela became the first country in Latin America to receive the Russian Sputnik-V vaccine and the second, when the first airlift between Caracas and Moscow was inaugurated.

Russian-Venezuelan Alliance as a role model
In the same vein, Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza assured that for Latin America and the Caribbean, the formula that has been designed in recent years of an integral relationship between Venezuela and Russia “represents a model and a reference to be emulated in some way in the countries in the region, despite Washington’s restrictions that seek to impose the Monroe Doctrine 200 years later”.
Likewise, he recognized the courageous contribution that the Russian Federation makes in pursuit of stability, peace and respect for international law. “We admire the role that Russia has assumed, especially in this century, as a stronghold of the multipolar world, not to confront the poles with senseless wars, but to benefit the peoples of the world”.
Over time, Russia has become an example of dignity and coherence when it comes to denouncing and confronting supremacist and hegemonic policies, condemning any mechanism of political, diplomatic, economic and military pressure that seeks to undermine independence and sovereignty of States and their people.
It should be noted that the inauguration of the exhibition Pristine Russia held in the spaces of PDVSA La Estancia, in Caracas, was attended by the People’s Power Minister for Culture of Venezuela, Ernesto Villegas, the People’s Power Minister for the Penitentiary Services, Mirelys Zulay Contreras, the president of Conviasa and Vice-minister of Air Transport, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, as well as the Vice-minister for Europe of the People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations, Yván Gil, Deputy Jesús Faría, and other diplomatic personnel.
