The Foreign Vice-minister for Africa, Yuri Pimental, held on Thursday a meeting with the Consul of the Republic of Angola to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Felisberto Fernandes da Costa, to review the bilateral, multilateral agenda between the two countries.
In this regard, Pimentel underlined they assessed “the work carried out in the oil area through joint companies operating in the Orinoco Oil Belt, and in the mining area, where we have received support for the incorporation of the Kimberly process. We also reviewed education cooperation to train Angolan and Venezuelan professionals in the two countries.”
Likewise, the foreign vice-minister for Africa highlighted that Venezuela and Angola will celebrate soon the 35th anniversary of their diplomatic relations.
Venezuela and Angola have maintained commercial relations since July 22, 2017, when they endorsed two memoranda of understanding with the National Diamond Enterprise of Angola to provide technical training to Venezuelan miners and optimize the commercialization process of different diamonds.
