The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Russian Federation are evaluating cooperation agreements for the implementation of precision technological systems, the People’s Power Minister for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez-Ramírez, reported on Wednesday.
“We reviewed the application and development of information systems and intelligent navigation in multifunctional platforms for the population”, said Minister Jiménez-Ramírez, who is in Russia on the occasion of the XXIV edition of the International Economic Forum in Saint Petersburg.

After the meeting with authorities of the Operator of the State Automated Information System of Russia (Era-Glonass), the Head of Science explained, in the company of the Venezuelan ambassador in that country, Carlos Faría, explained that the system would allow the creation of independent technological and reliable bases to ensure accurate monitoring and control of cargoes and disaster emergency services.
The XXIV Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum (Spief) brings together representatives of the business communities of Africa, Germany, Italy, Qatar, Latin America, North America, Finland, France, Sweden, Japan, the Eurasian Economic Union and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
