A delegation from the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela will participate from this Thursday in the XXIV Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum (Spief), an event that will bring together representatives of the business communities of Africa, Germany, Italy, Qatar, Latin America, North America , Finland, France, Sweden, Japan, the Eurasian Economic Union and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
This meeting, which will run until June 5, will take place at the Expoforum under the slogan Together Again-The Economy of the New Reality, complying with the World Health Organization standards to face the COVID-19 pandemic. Qatar participates as the guest of honor with delegates.
The Venezuelan delegation is made up of the People’s Power Minister for Productive Agriculture and Lands, Wilmar Casto Sotelo; the Minister of Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez; and the Minister of Tourism, Alí Padrón.
The four thematic axes of the event are: ‘Uniting efforts for development’; ‘National development objectives: from tasks to results’; ‘People in a new reality. Responding to global challenges’ and ‘Technologies expanding horizons’.
Likewise, Spief will promote international dialogues in order to solve economic problems of Russia, emerging markets and the world in general.
In this framework, the issue related to the health sector will be addressed, which corresponds to the agreement between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the “Geropharm” Limited Partnership for Cooperation in the supply of the “Epivaccorona” vaccine for the prevention of COVID-19 infection.
The national delegation was received by the Venezuelan ambassador to the Russian Federation, Carlos Faría.
