Vice-president for Economy and Minister of People’s Power for Oil, Tareck El Aissami, higlighted on Tuesday Venezuela’s participation in the OPEC+ 30th Meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee to ensure an maintain the stability of the oil market.
«In this 30th Meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee, we vindicate the extraordinary results that has enabled us to balance the world’s energy market in the face of today’s challenges, » wrote El Aissami on his Twitter account @Tareckpsuv.
In this regard, he asserted that «Venezuela will continue supporting those initiatives to strengthen gradual output adjustments in accordance with the spirit of the OPEC+ Declaration of Cooperation as the only possible mechanism to ensure a greater, long-lasting stability of the oil market. »
This meeting, held via video conference, is part of the Ministerial Committee’s meetings to monitor the current situation of the world’s oil market and review the levels of compliance regarding the output adjustments agreed by the OPEC+ countries.
The 30th Meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) took place under the Chairmanship of Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Energy, and Co-Chair Alexander Novak, Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation.
Angola’s Minister of Mineral Resources and Petroleum Diamantino Azevedo and OPEC Secretary-General Mohammad Barkindo also participated in this meeting.
