Venezuela participates in the 8th edition of the Latin America and the Caribbean Week in France

Venezuela will be present at the 8th edition of Latin America and the Caribbean Week in France, between May 27 and June 12. This is an annual initiative of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs to spread the Latin American and Caribbean culture, and strengthen ties with the region.

This year there are more than 500 cultural, scientific, political, economic and gastronomic events, organized mainly by the Latin American and Caribbean Embassies in France, and also by educational associations, cultural and research institutions, with the aim of strengthening ties between France and Latin America.

In this sense, the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in France was invited by the French Foreign Ministry to participate in this year’s edition, and has scheduled various activities, in order to show the French public the richness and cultural diversity of the country.

Venezuela participates with four activities: virtual visit of museums, literary conference, transmission of the Venezuelan film Araya, and a presentation on the process of making Venezuelan rum.

To begin Venezuela’s participation in SALC, on June 1, 2021 at 6pm (French time), a virtual visit of two important Venezuelan museums, the Arturo Michelena Museum and the Carlos Cruz Diez Print and Design Museum.

Despite health restrictions, the public will have the opportunity to travel virtually to the Venezuelan capital and visit these two cultural spaces.
