In the framework of strengthening cooperation relations between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Republic of South Africa, the People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza, received this Friday the deputy for the African National Congress (CNA), Zolani Mkiva, with whom he reinforced ties of friendship.
During the meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Relations, the South African parliamentarian, also president of the South Africa-Venezuela Solidarity Group (Sasuve), reaffirmed his country’s support for the Bolivarian Government and the Venezuelan people, in addition to expressing its commitment to strengthen cooperation in cultural and educational matters.
Likewise, the meeting was conducive to evaluating the holding of a new business meeting between the two countries, such as the one held at the beginning of 2020, to advance economic and commercial relations for the benefit of the peoples.
Foreign Minister Arreaza, on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro and the Venezuelan people, expressed his esteem for the South African people and his deep friendship with its Government, in addition to praising the figure of Nelson Mandela as an important example for Venezuela’s revolutionary legacy.

Congressman Zolani is on his fourth official visit to Venezuela, this time accompanied by a group of South African businessmen. During his stay in the country, he has developed a large agenda of meetings with Venezuelan authorities, among which is a meeting with the Foreign Policy Commission of the National Assembly, to strengthen inter-parliamentary cooperation.
