The Syrian ambassador accredited to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Khalil Bitar, and the People’s Power Minister for Tourism, Alí Padrón, held a meeting on Monday with the purpose of promoting investment opportunities and commercial exchange in tourism between both countries.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Vice-minister of International Tourism of Venezuela, Leticia Gómez, the Tourist Investment Catalog that the Bolivarian Government has available for the development of projects that will contribute to the increase of receptive tourism in the Caribbean nation was presented.
Similarly, the proposal for the 2021-2023 Tourism Implementation Program was raised, which reinforces the Protocol of Amendment to the Cooperation Agreement signed in 2010.
International Fairs to promote tourism in Venezuela
The meeting was also opportune to consolidate the participation proposals of the 1st. Venezuela-Syria High Level Mixed Commission, which will coincide with the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The Venezuelan Minister in turn expressed interest in attending the 62nd edition of the Damascus International Fair and, in this way, strengthening relations between tour operators and trade union organizations.
