Russia-Venezuela Technical Commissions Set Up

On Tuesday, the technical commissions of the Russia-Venezuela High-Level Intergovernmental Commission were set up at the PDVSA headquarters in Caracas.

These commissions include the Trade and Economic Commission, the Transport Commission, the Industrial Commission, the Credit and Financial Commission and the Technical-Military Commission.

The Venezuelan and Russian Co-Chairs of the High-Level Intergovernmental Commission, Tareck El Aissami and Yuri Borisov, will hold a meeting to strengthen Moscow-Caracas agreements in the areas of energy and transport to move forward with cooperation and bilateral relations between the two countries.

Russia’s delegation is represented by high-ranking economic and transport government officials and companies that have participated in Russian-Venezuelan projects.

The Russia-Venezuelan High-Level Intergovernmental Commission has held 15 meetings, including four headed by its Co-Chairs, to strengthen 20 areas of cooperation.

Russia-Venezuela fraternal ties have become stronger in the last 20 years thanks to the strategic vision of Commander Hugo Chávez, a vision that both President Nicolás Maduro and President Vladimir Putin have consolidated.
