The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Kingdom of Spain, Cristina Gallach Figueras, arrived in Caracas this Sunday, on an official visit of two days, in which she will meet with authorities of the Venezuelan Government in order to strengthen bilateral relations.
The reception at the “Simón Bolívar” International Airport, in La Guaira, was in charge of the Vice-minister for Europe of the People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations, Yván Gil.
The high diplomat of the Kingdom of Spain arrives in Venezuela, after expanding her Central American tour, interested in learning about the humanitarian response to the COVID-19 pandemic and supporting the national dialogue promoted by the Bolivarian Government.
In this sense, Gallach Figueras’ agenda in the South American country includes bilateral meetings with Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza and the Executive Vice-president of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez Gómez.
The Bolivarian Government will reiterate the importance of the Spanish Government leading a balanced European position, in favor of dialogue between the political forces in Venezuela.
