The Vice-minister for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania of the People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations, Rubén Darío Molina, held a meeting on Tuesday with the ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea accredited to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Ri Sung Gil, to strengthen bonds of brotherhood and joint support.
After concluding the meeting, held at the headquarters of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, Vice-minister Molina explained that they addressed the entire substantive cooperation agenda between Venezuela and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. “This year we will continue to deepen our friendship”, he emphasized.
In addition, both authorities ratified mutual support and coincidences in the multilateral sphere and respect for international law established in the Charter of the United Nations.
Venezuela and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea have maintained diplomatic relations since 1965, achieving greater rapprochement during the last 22 years, in which cooperation agreements have been reached in cultural, commercial, political and sports matters.
