The Executive Secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP), Sacha Llorenti, met this Monday with the ambassador of the State of Palestine accredited to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Fadi Alzaben, to reaffirm friendship, solidarity and mutual cooperation between the member countries of the regional body and the Palestinian people.
The ALBA-TCP countries have repeatedly ratified before multilateral organizations and the world their support for the self-determination of the Palestinian people and their right to have a free, sovereign and independent State with international borders prior to 1967, with Eastern Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the Security Council and the General Assembly of the United Nations.
On the other hand, the Executive Secretary of ALBA-TCP held a meeting with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Venezuela, Li Baorong, to strengthen cooperation relations between the entity and the Asian nation.
Both diplomats exchanged experiences regarding the attention to the COVID-19 pandemic both in China and in the ALBA-TCP member countries and the current situation of the health crisis, in addition to addressing the coincidences with the Government of President Xi Jinping on the defense of the multilateral system.
