Vice-president Menéndez and Vice Prime Minister Cabrisas agree lines of the development plan of the Cuba-Venezuela Agreement

At a working meeting held this Friday at the Casa Amarilla Antonio José de Sucre, the Sector Vice-president of Planning, Ricardo Menéndez and the Vice prime minister of the Republic of Cuba and co-chair of the Intergovernmental Commission of the Cub -Venezuela Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement, Ricardo Cabrisas, agreed on the lines of the development plan instructed by President Nicolás Maduro at the meeting for the 20th anniversary of the agreement last year.

During the meeting, the also People’s Power Minister for Planning was accompanied by his management team, as well as the high representative of the Cuban Government, who arrived in Caracas this Thursday at the head of a delegation also made up of Rodrigo Malmierca, Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment; Nicolás Liván Arronte, Minister of Mines and Energy; Martha Wilson González, Minister-President of the Central Bank of Cuba and Roberto López, Vice-minister of Foreign Trade.

At the meeting, both delegations placed their proposals on the table, always aiming at the development of both peoples and strengthening the strategic alliance that has been consolidated from the Cuba-Venezuela Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement, signed by the commanders Hugo Chávez and Fidel Castro Ruz on October 30, 2000, and which is deepened each year by the political will of their successors Nicolás Maduro and Miguel Díaz-Canel.

The aforementioned agreement contemplates cooperation programs and projects in areas of common interest such as health, education, energy, science and technology, culture, defense and sports.
