Turkish-Venezuelan relationship is consolidated with visit of Venezuelan delegation to Ankara

In the framework of his visit to the Republic of Turkey, this Thursday, the Vice-minister for Europe of the People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations, Yván Gil, accompanied by the president of the Simón Bolívar Institute for Peace and Solidarity among Peoples and Vice-minister for North America, Carlos Ron, successfully concluded a working day with Turkish authorities to advance projects of common interest in the educational, commercial and food fields.

The delegation of the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela arrived in the Eurasian country with the purpose of strengthening the existing bilateral alliance between both nations.

In the first place, the agreement signed by the People’s Power Minister for University Education, César Trompiz, for the exchange of professors, students and the improvement of languages ​​and technical specialties such as medicine and engineering was delivered at the University of Ankara.

“In the coming months, it will become a series of opportunities for our Venezuelan students in Turkey and for Turkish students in Venezuela”, said Vice-minister Gil.

Later, in the spaces of the Center for Latin American Studies of the University of Ankara, a tribute was made to Generalísimo Francisco de Miranda and ties of cooperation were strengthened with the director of the center, Necatli Kutlu.

Finally, they held a working meeting with the Vice-minister of Agriculture and Forests of the Eurasian nation, Ayse Isikgece, to deepen projects that will allow the start of exports of food items to the Republic of Turkey and, in turn, Turkish investment in all the production areas in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

Currently, Venezuela and Turkey have dozens of agreements signed in the political, economic, health, defense, energy, commercial, financial, educational, technological, scientific, cultural and tourism fields.
