The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry’s Vice-minister for Multilateral Affairs, Daniela Rodríguez, held on Wednesday a working meeting with the UNDP Resident Representative Jan Harfst to review cooperation between Venezuela and the UN System in 2021.
At the meeting, held at the headquarters of Venezuela’s Foreign Ministry, the Venezuela diplomat reaffirmed the close cooperation of the Venezuelan State with the United Nations System.
Rodríguez also pointed out that they reviewed the details of the forthcoming visit by the UN Special Rapporteur on the negative impact of the unilateral coercive measures on the enjoyment of human rights, Alena Douhan, to Venezuela.
The Bolivarian Government of Venezuela is consolidating a broad cooperation agenda with the UN System accredited to the country that includes a memorandum of understanding on cooperation and technical assistance with the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and a Humanitarian Response Plan that has enabled the arrival of medical supplies and equipment to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
