National government protests UK funding of plans to disturb Venezuela’s peace

This Monday, the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela once again repudiated the link between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland with destabilizing plans in the Latin American country.

According to the British news portal, Daily Maverick, the United Kingdom is involved in financing a project to influence local and national media, aimed at creating a climate of instability and disturbing the peace of Venezuelans.

The People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza, delivered a note of protest in Caracas on Monday to Ambassador Andrew Soper, in which the hostile attitude of the British Government, contrary to international law, is repudiated.

“We delivered a note of protest to the United Kingdom Ambassador in Venezuela, before publications appeared in the media about the use of British public funds to finance organizations and digital media in Venezuela, without informing the authorities of the country”, said the Venezuelan diplomat through his Twitter account @jaarreaza.

The aforementioned project would also be framed in the execution of a secret program of alleged “promotion of democracy” supporting the most radical sector of the Venezuelan opposition. Foreign Minister Arreaza announced in previous days that the complaint would be filed in the United Nations.

During the meeting, Foreign Minister Arreaza and Ambassador Soper discussed issues inherent in the bilateral relationship and how to improve communication between the two governments so that the United Kingdom can provide constructive contributions, respecting the Venezuelan legal system.
