Venezuela participates in the Ibero-American Meeting of the Development Fund for the Indigenous Peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean

On November 12, Venezuela began its participation in the Ibero-American Meeting “Institution related to the rights of indigenous peoples” held in La Antigua Guatemala, a space for the exchange of experiences among member countries of the Development Fund for Indigenous Peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean.

NAM reaffirms its commitment to multilateralism and to the UN

In the exercise of the Protempore Presidency of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela intervened this Friday at the Open Debate of the Security Council of the United Nations (UN), on the “Strengthening of Multilateralism and Role of the United Nations”, in which the Movement reaffirmed that multilateralism, the UN, its founding Charter and the norms of international law are essential tools for the preservation and maintenance of international peace and security.

Venezuela participates in the IV Italo-Latin American Forum of SMEs

A total of 19 Latin American countries participated since the November 5th to the 7th in the IV edition of the Italo-Latin American Forum of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), held in Cesena, Italy. On behalf of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the vice-minister for Europe of the People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations, Yván Gil, attended the meeting.

NAM laments humanitarian consequences of Israeli occupation in Palestine

The delegation of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, in the exercise of the Pro Tempore Presidency of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), intervened in the consideration of Item 55 of the Agenda on the “Report of the Special Committee to investigate Israeli practices that affect the human rights of the Palestinian People and other Arab inhabitants of the occupied territories”, developed on Tuesday in the framework of the Fourth Committee of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN).

Bolivarian National Armed Force rejects violent and criminal acts on the border with Colombia

The Bolivarian National Armed Force, through its highest administrative body, the People’s Power Ministry for Defense, issued a communiqué in rejection for the attack perpetrated this Sunday in the border state of Amazonas -Southern region of the country- by a paramilitary group, in which 3 members of the Bolivarian National Guard were killed, and a dozen officials were wounded.
