Venezuelan government rejects hostile and interventionist statements by Jean-Claude Juncker

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its strongest rejection to the hostile and heinous statements made by the President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker -after his meeting with the President of Colombia in Brussels- whereby he showed his support to the destabilizing thesis that some warmongering governments intend to impose in Venezuela. It is unacceptable that the highest authorities of the European Union bureaucracy -based on the reiterated lies argued by Ivan Duque in his pursuit of profiting from European resources- divert their attention away from the myriad and urgent problems faced by the peoples of Europe to join the offensive positions against our revolutionary government, whose ultimate goal is to provoke the disruption of the constitutional order in Venezuela. It is surprising for the Bolivarian Government that the European Commission -far from working in the construction of mechanisms for dialogue and cooperation with Venezuela- focuses its efforts to passively play the role of “useful link” in the dark strategy of aggression that the supremacist United States government intends to implement in Venezuela through one of its South American vassal states. Lastly, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, at the time of reiterating that it shall not tolerate any action intended to harm the dignity of the Venezuelan People, urges the high authorities of the European Union bureaucracy to dismiss the aggression and offense as a method for external relationship and retake the relation of equality, respect and transparency that historically it has had with our country.
