The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, extolling its principle of Peace Diplomacy, attached to respect for international law on equality, non-intervention in the internal affairs of other States, and honoring the great bonds of friendship, cooperation, solidarity as well as the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership that unites China and Venezuela, firmly supports and welcomes the decision of the Third Session of the 13th National People’s Congress (NPC) of the People’s Republic of China in which it sovereignly adopted the Law on the Establishment and Improvement of the Legal System and Implementation Mechanisms for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, thereby safeguarding the security and territorial integrity established in its domestic legal framework and International Law.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela salutes the People’s Republic of China for the adoption of that law as a purely internal matter for China. Venezuela rejects and condemns the interference of foreign countries that seek to disregard the sovereignty and territorial integrity of China, seeking to avoid the principle of One China. Venezuela ratifies the recognition of the Special Administration of Hong Kong, under the principle of “One Country Two Systems”.
