The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its concern about the repression of student demonstrations against the disproportionate increase in transport fares in the Republic of Chile, within the framework of the neoliberal economic policies pursued by the government of that country.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela claims the right of Peoples to demand by peaceful means the effective development of their economic, social and cultural rights, which allows the Government of Chile to be reminded of its international human rights obligations and, in particular, of its active membership of the Human Rights Council.
