Venezuela extends condolences to India for human and material losses caused by heavy rains
The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its solidarity and deepest condolences to the sisterly Republic of India for the human and material losses caused by the heavy monsoon rains and landslides that have struck the southern part of the Indian Union, leaving to date more than two hundred people dead and a larger amount of people affected by the rainfalls and landslides.
The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its sadness for this unfortunate environmental event putting the people of Kerala into mourning. Moreover, it sends a message of encouragement to the victims’ families, as a demonstration of the brotherhood of the Global South of which we are a part.
The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, honoring the friendship and cooperation relations, reaffirms its support to the People and Government of India and hopes that areas struck by this unfortunate natural phenomenon will be promptly recovered.
