ALBA-TCP denounces coup d’etat in Bolivia and demands respect and guarantees for the life of President Evo Morales Ayma

The countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP), denounce the coup d’état committed on November 10th, 2019, in the Plurinational State of Bolivia, by radical right-wing groups that have even threatened and attacked the physical security of democratically elected Bolivian authorities and their families to force the resignation of brother President Evo Morales Ayma. Bolivia’s Constitution and rule of law have been violated. The ALBA-TCP countries demand respect for the civil rights, freedom and physical integrity of President Evo Morales Ayma, his government team and the brothers and sisters of Bolivia who fight against radical groups that seek to spread terror and seize power violently in Bolivia. Carlos Mesa and Luis Camacho are held responsible for any plan to assassinate President Evo Morales. The ALBA-TCP countries reiterate their strong condemnation of the coup d’état; reaffirm their unrestricted support and solidarity with the Constitutional Government of President Evo Morales Ayma; and urge the International Community to reject the coup d’état and to demand the guarantee of the security of President Evo Morales and other authorities. The Alliance calls for the defense of Bolivar’s favorite daughter!
