Simón Bolívar Institute carries out cultural activity “A song of solidarity with Palestine”

As part of the brotherhood, cultural, political and economic cooperation ties between Palestine and Venezuela, a cultural activity was held this Sunday in the spaces of the Casa Amarilla Antonio José de Sucre entitled A song of solidarity with Palestine.

The event, organized by the Simón Bolívar Institute for Peace and Solidarity among Peoples, and within the framework of the commemorative activities of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, served to reiterate the unconditional support of the Bolivarian Government for the cause of the Palestinian people, for the defense of their self-determination and peace; and respect for their sovereignty, in full adherence to the Charter of the United Nations.

During his speech, the Minister for Foreign Relations commented that unpredictable and difficult events have occurred in recent years, and yet the people of Palestine stand firm, dignified and in battle.

He added that “the people of Venezuela are in battle with the people of Palestine and with all the peoples of the world who feel the Palestinian cause as their own”, while exclaiming Long live free Palestine!

The culture of the Palestinian people adorned the cultural activity with the presentations of the popular singers, the poetic interventions, and the messages -projection of videos- and manifesto of solidarity with Palestine.

It should be noted that the activity was attended by the president of the Simón Bolívar Institute for Peace and Solidarity among Peoples, Carlos Ron, the Palestinian ambassador to Venezuela, Fadi Alzaben, the Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, the Turkish ambassador to Venezuela, Şevki Mütevellioğlu, as well as the activist for the Palestinian cause, Hindu Anderi, and other popular singers and militants of the Francisco de Miranda Front (FFM).
