Venezuela, Iran strengthen scientific, technological alliance

In a video conference themed “Iran-Venezuela Experiences in Identification, Protection and Training of Scientific Special Talents,” Venezuela’s Vice-minister for Communalization of Science for Production, Salvador Lugo, stressed the need of strengthening the Venezuelan program “Seedbed of Scientists” with Iran’s support in the face of the U.S. siege, and confirmed Venezuelan’s will to strengthen ties to accompany and support scientists from an early age.

“In the face of the coercive measures imposed by the U.S. Government, it is vital to preserve generations bearing original thought and the inventiveness of children and adolescents for the communalization of a different kind of science enabling the construction of a new economy,” said Lugo.

In this regard, the Venezuelan vice-minister highlighted that Iran’s delegates expressed their country’s interest in cooperating with Venezuelan in the identification of scientific talents, and Iran’s willingness to strengthen the working agenda in this field as part of the human rights of the child.

Noteworthily, the video conference was also attended by Vice-minister of Research and Application of Knowledge, Francisco Durán; Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Hojjatollah Soltani; President of Iran’s Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents, Elham Yavari; Venezuela’s Vice-minister for Qualitative Transformation of University Education, Marinella Vargas; Venezuela’s President of the National Institute of Socialist Training and Education, Wuikelman Paredes; President of the Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho Foundation, Jorge Pérez; and Director of International Affairs of the Ministry of People’s Power for Science and Technology, Marcos Castillo.
