85 nationals return to Venezuela from Ecuador through the Plan Vuelta a la Patria

On Friday night, 85 compatriots from Ecuador arrived in Venezuela, on a flight from the Venezuelan Consortium of Aeronautical Industries and Air Services SA (Conviasa), as part of the Plan Vuelta a la Patria that the national government maintains in execution to facilitate the return of Venezuelans in vulnerable conditions in other nations.

This group of Venezuelans was received at the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía under biosecurity protocols to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, including the application of tests and supervised temporary isolation.

The Plan Vuelta a la Patria is one of the formulas and alternatives instructed by President Nicolás Maduro to allow, in the midst of the health crisis and the contingency of international mobility derived from COVID-19, the country can bring back in a healthy way all nationals who are in other countries and do not have the necessary resources to return.

Before the instructions of the national president, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry has managed all the procedures for these compatriots to return to their homes, despite the obstacles presented by some governments, generally linked to the so-called Lima Group.
