Daniela Rodríguez appointed as the new Vice-minister for Multilateral Issues of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, appointed Daniela Rodríguez Martínez as the new Vice-minister for Multilateral Issues of the People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations, according to decree No. 4,370 published in the Official Gazette this Wednesday, November 11.

The new person in charge of coordinating and linking with multilateral organizations by the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry has a degree in International Studies, graduated from the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), with a Master’s degree in Security, Integral Defense and Integration and a PhD in progress in the area of Security of the Nation, in the Military University of Venezuela.

In her diplomatic career, the Vice-minister has been serving as a Counselor in the Permanent Mission of Venezuela to the United Nations (UN), headquarters in New York, United States, since 2018.

Previously, she also headed the General Directorate of the Office of the Vice-ministry for North America and the Strategic Office for Evaluation and Monitoring of Public Policies of the People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations.

Vice-minister Rodríguez Martínez succeeds Alexander Yánez, who in the same Official Gazette is designated, by ministerial resolution, as Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela accredited to the Plurinational State of Bolivia, and this Wednesday delivered his Credentials to President Luis Arce, in a ceremony held at the Government Palace in La Paz, in which he was accompanied by Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza.
