On behalf of the people and Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, Jorge Arreaza, arrived in La Paz on Saturday on an official visit to attend the inauguration ceremony of President-elect of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Luis Arce.
The Venezuelan diplomat was welcomed by Andronico Rodríguez, president of the Senate; and Freddy Mamani, president of the House of Representatives of Bolivia.
The Venezuelan Government recently congratulated the Bolivian people for the successful election held on October 18, when Luis Arce and Davis Choquehuanca were elected president and vice-president with 55.11% of the votes obtained by the Movement for Socialism party.
In the last decades, except for the period marked by the coup d’état that toppled President Evo Morales, Venezuela and Bolivia have forged a solid relation of friendship and bilateral cooperation in different areas, resulting in benefits for their peoples.
