The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Javad Zarif, assured this Thursday that the United States is terrorizing the peoples of Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, China, Russia and Syria to generate a political change through terrorism as a desperate measure of those who feel their power threatened.
The Iranian FM recalled that the United States has invaded and plundered the Middle East by establishing a system of terrorism, and that from 1990 to 2003 they have waged a war for years, spending “$600 billion” on weapons. “They thought that if they could establish their hegemony through military force they would avoid the change of the global order”, he said, while assuring that the hegemony that the empire intended to impose is over.
In this sense, he stated that there is only one omnipotent power and it is God, not the United States, although some serve it as if it were. “For some, the United States may be their God but not for us… Venezuela and Iran in defense of a world to be made”, he said during his speech at the conference organized by the Samuel Robinson Institute, a study center for original thought.
“We must remember that there is only one omnipotent being in the world and it is God, and that God has two qualities: compassion and mercy (…) and the United States is far from those qualities”, said the Head of Iranian diplomacy in the activity, which is part of his official visit to Caracas to strengthen ties with both peoples.
Foreign Minister Zarif assured that the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, will take to the grave his wish that the people of the Islamic Republic do his will. “I hope that soon Pompeo will be tried by an international court. He said that if my people want to eat, they must do what he says. That is pure terrorism. His dream will take him to the grave”, he warned.
Finally, he ratified the commitment of his Government to advance together with Venezuela in the cooperation of both peoples, as well as in the fight against the hegemon, although it is already in decline.
