IV Conference of Cooperation of the Association of Caribbean States held to discuss economic recovery mechanisms in the region

During the meeting, the observer organizations and special guests proposed various cooperation initiatives in order to address a comprehensive strategy to solve the new reality imposed by Covid-19, as well as to promote the strengthening of existing relationships with the donors of the different projects executed by the Association and encourage the participation of all those international agencies interested in contributing to regional development.

Banco del Alba, participated as an Observer body of the ACS, highlighting its work as a promoter of financing for the development of the region, taking into account that, despite the fact that three of the countries that make up the ALBA-TCP are subject to illegal tax Following and unilateral coercive measures by the United States, the response of the Bolivarian Alliance countries has proven to be one of the most effective in the hemisphere in protecting the health of their peoples.

The ACS has a history of regional cooperation and is attracting diverse partners since 1994, guided by the mandate of the Council of Ministers to promote consultation, cooperation and concerted action in order to promote the sustainable development of the Greater Caribbean, a task to which it has been granted a leading role, particularly in such complex times for the global economy, due to the aftermath of the global Covid-19 pandemic.
