This Thursday, the Head of Government of the Capital District (GDC), Jacqueline Faría, participated in the XXIV Assembly of the Ibero-American Center for Urban Strategic Development (CIDEU), during which she highlighted the interest of the Government of the Capital District in working together with CIDEU and its members, in projects that contribute to strategic urban planning for the benefit of the capital city.
This organization, made up of more than 124 regional governments and 28 Latin American institutions, is a space for cooperation and exchange in areas of vital interest to the Government of the Capital District such as land use planning, roads, urban planning and the promotion of local projects.
Likewise, the Head of Government reported on the great challenges faced in the country during 2020 due to the effects of the pandemic and highlighted the work carried out by “the Bolivarian Government, through the Venezuelan 7+7 method, unique in the world, implemented by our President Nicolás Maduro Moros and in a coordinated manner with the different institutions of the State, working tirelessly to care for and protect the health of our people.” Faria pointed out.
In addition, Jacqueline Faría reported that “unilateral coercive measures violate the human and fundamental rights of the population, as the expert rapporteurs of the United Nations have indicated. The population is the most affected by the continuous sanctions, especially in times as difficult as we are living with the pandemic, the people are limited to protect themselves.”
Finally, the Head of Government pointed out that in the face of adversity, the people of the Capital District keep working on various projects, strengthening the People’s Power and guaranteeing the right to free health for all the Venezuelan people.
