This Friday, 62 nationals returned to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on the first flight of the Plan Vuelta a la Patria from Suriname.
This day also allowed 54 people of Surinamese origin who were in Venezuela to be reunited with their loved ones in their country.
The transfer of the passengers was carried out on a flight of the Venezuelan Consortium of Aeronautical Industries and Air Services (Conviasa).
The realization of this special flight responds to the request of dozens of Venezuelans who have been stranded in this Latin American country, due to the health contingency measures adopted to prevent COVID-19.
President Nicolás Maduro, in coordination with the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, since last September, approved the realization of special repatriation flights from Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Panama.
