Executive Vice-president Delcy Rodríguez held on Friday an important meeting with representatives of the United Nations System and the representative of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to Venezuela, Pier Paolo Balladelli.
Dr. Balladelli, also head of the Pan American Sanitary Bureau (PASB) mission, will continue joining efforts with the Bolivarian Government to set up working plans and cooperation on health amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The UN System has been key to purchase medical supplies to be distributed in all the sentinel healthcare centers in Venezuela.
With this meeting, Venezuela continues strengthening cooperation ties with PAHO/WHO representatives and assessing joint strategies to boost health programs for the benefit of the people.
The meeting was also attended by Venezuela’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Jorge Arreaza, and Health Minister, Carlos Alvarado.
