Vice-president of Economy and Minister of People’s Power for Oil, Tareck El Aissami, announced on Thursday that the OPEC+ Cooperation Agreement enabled to reach in August a historical 101% compliance with output adjustment.
El Aissami made this announcement on the occasion of the 22nd Meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC), held via video conference on Thursday in Vienna, Austria, where the Committee reviewed the organization’s joint work.
“We applaud the excellent results of OPEC+ joint work, which has enabled us to reach a historical 101% compliance with output adjustment in August. This contributes to our efforts to balance the world market,” El Aissami posted on his Twitter account @Tareckpsuv.
Minister El Aissami highlighted Venezuela’s participation in “this important forum, the Meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee, by raising the flags of dialogue and cooperation to overcome today’s difficulties and build a bright future for our people.”
The 22nd Meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) took place under the Chairmanship of Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Energy, Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Salman; Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, Alexander Novak; Algeria’s Minister of Energy and President of the OPEC Conference, Abdelmadjid Attar; and OPEC Secretary-General, Mohammad Sanusi Barkindo.
