The People’s Power Minister for Tourism and Foreign Trade (Mpptce), Félix Plasencia, shared this week a virtual meeting with the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Majd Shweikeh, a country recognized as a tourist power in the Middle East.
The main objective of the meeting was to follow up on the agreements reached between the two ministers during Plasencia’s visit to Jordan in November 2019, at the invitation of the Jordanian official.
In the videoconference, Venezuela learned about the Jordanian experience and progress in the face of the progressive reopening of tourism.
He stressed that the meeting contributes to the construction and implementation of the broad strategy of the Bolivarian Government of Venezuela for the reactivation of national and international tourism in the country, within the framework of this new normal derived from the pandemic.
Jordan is a nation that annually receives more than 4 million visitors and has historical and internationally positioned destinations such as the city of Petra and the Dead Sea.
