The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Republic of Turkey signed on Tuesday various bilateral cooperation agreements in the economic, cultural, university education and health areas, in addition to a joint statement between the Venezuelan People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza, and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Cavusoglu to strengthen brotherly relations between the two nations.
In the framework of the official visit of the Turkish delegation to Venezuela, the foreign ministers signed the Joint Declaration to advance in the consolidation of the strategic alliance between both countries, opening the way to the establishment of new bilateral agreements on the occasion of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the beginning of Turkish-Venezuelan relations.
Likewise, a Cultural Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Republic of Turkey and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to seal the commitment to strengthen cultural relations and promote reciprocal cooperation based on mutual respect. Likewise, a Complementary Agreement was concluded between both nations on the establishment and operation of Cultural Centers’ activities by means of which they commit to promote joint projects in this area.
In educational matters, the Academic Cooperation Agreement was sealed between the University of Ankara of the Republic of Turkey and the Bolivarian University of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, for the establishment of the Simón Bolívar chairs in the Middle Eastern country and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in the South American nation.
On the other hand, the Act of Commitment was signed between the People’s Power Ministry for Health of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the company SUMMA Turizm Yatirimciligi A.S. of the Republic of Turkey, for the construction of a general hospital in Venezuela amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Finally, they signed the Act of Commitment between the People’s Power Ministry for Housing of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the company SUMMA Turizm Yatirimciligi A.S. of the Republic of Turkey for the construction of houses in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, with which the bases for the construction of a new housing complex in the South American country are established.
