Foreign Minister Arreaza urges youth to transform together the government systems in the new post-pandemic world

The People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza, said this Wednesday that unity is essential for the construction of a new post-pandemic normality and the structural transformation of government systems, for which reason all the struggles of the revolutionary youth in the world should be on track to fulfill that goal.

During his participation in the videoconference between young people and students of Our America, within the framework of International Youth Day, the head of Venezuelan diplomacy urged young people not to miss the opportunity that arises in the midst of the health crisis generated by COVID-19 to build a fairer world. “May the women and men who have given their lives during this pandemic become martyrs, that on their spirit we can build that new world that is absolutely indispensable and necessary.”

He emphasized that the reflection that the pandemic should leave in the youth is the need to structurally transform the government systems, as well as the social, political and economic organization. “We young people have to learn to guarantee the social rights” of the people and the unity of the proletarian class is essential to achieve this.

The left resurfaces in Latin America

The Venezuelan diplomat and militant of the Bolivarian Revolution assured that the left in Latin America is in a process of recovering spaces “we are going to a great resumption, the great backlash, the great counteroffensive of the peoples to retake the spaces that belong to us.” The foreign minister said in reference to the failure that right-wing governments in the region have shown, such as Ecuador, Brazil, Bolivia.

In this sense, he emphasized that the pendulum must be stabilized on the left and it is forbidden to allow it to move even to the center. “As we move away from the left, there are no peoples, there are corporations, there are private interests, but there is no popular character of true democracy.”
