President Maduro confirms meeting with Norwegian delegation to resume political dialogue
“That issue was reactivated”, in this way, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, confirmed the meeting between the Vice-president of Communication, Culture and Tourism, Jorge Rodríguez, with a Norwegian delegation to resume political dialogue between the National Government and the Venezuelan extreme right.
“Jorge Rodríguez is talking, he received them here and now he is coordinating what was left pending on the issue of the Norwegians”, he said, while extending his greetings to the members of the Norwegian Government mission.
In a brief comment, the Dignitary confirmed that the official delegation will continue with “everything that was discussed”, given their commitment to dialogue, democracy and freedom.
On July 24, Norwegian Foreign Minister Dag Halvor announced that Scandinavian diplomats were in Caracas to “update on the health and political situation” of the South American nation.
Norway sponsored the process of political dialogue between sectors of the Executive and the Venezuelan extreme right. The concertation mechanism was dissolved in 2019, after the faction led by the self-proclaimed Juan Guaidó openly supported the unilateral measures of the United States (USA) against officials and institutions of the country.
Campaign against media manipulation
Regarding the disfigured version of Venezuela presented by international media, the Head of State instructed to launch a campaign against lies and manipulation that reflects the essence of the people.
“Let’s carry out a great campaign for the real Venezuela, the one that is not taking a political and ideological party, that wants to prosper and progress”, he asked the Minister of Communication and Information, Jorge Rodríguez.
