Foreign Minister Arreaza: Colombia has become an expert in evading its responsibilities and trying to transfer them to third parties

After the pronouncement of the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Colombia regarding vandalism against the Consulate of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Bogotá, the People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza, affirmed that the Iván Duque Administration uses the “lie as State policy ”and spreads false flags to evade its responsibility in the aggression of which the Venezuelan diplomatic installation was the object.

This Wednesday, after Venezuela sent a verbal note of protest to Colombia for the looting of the consular headquarters, the New Granada Foreign Ministry indicated that “the authorities are investigating the facts”; however, they try to hide the breach of the Vienna Convention, accusing Venezuelan diplomatic officials themselves of vandalism.

“The images of our looted Consulate in Bogotá speak for themselves. Colombia clearly fails to comply with its obligations with the Vienna Convention. In these times the Foreign Ministry of Colombia has become an expert in evading its responsibilities and trying to transfer them to third parties”, said the Head of Venezuelan diplomacy, through his account on the social network Twitter.

With regard to the complaint about alleged vandalism at the Colombian Consulate in Puerto Ordaz, Foreign Minister Arreaza assured that it is a false flag and shared a video that shows the good condition of the aforementioned diplomatic facilities. “That’s how they lie, with self-confidence”, he stated.

He pointed out that the Colombian Government made a state policy out of lies:

“They do not know of mercenary camps in their territory, they have runaway boats, they are not responsible for the failure of the Peace accords, nor for the assassinations of social leaders and massacres, they do not finance paramilitaries, they do not increase drug production”, he listed the public knowledge events that those who run the neighboring country seek to evade.
