Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza denounces new U.S. persecution to asphyxiate Venezuelan economy
Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs Jorge Arreaza accused U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo of resuming his “fiction script” of persecutions to asphyxiate Venezuela’s economy as major riots are breaking out in the streets of the United States.
“From some bunker, @SecPompeo is playing his part in a fiction script and celebrating new persecutions to asphyxiate the Venezuelan economy. It is not by attacking Venezuela with lies that your fascist, racist elite will manage to put out the flames burning in front of the White House,” posted Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza on his Twitter account @jaarreaza.
Arreaza referred to the U.S government’s announcement, through the Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), adding Joselit Ramírez, head of the Superintendency of Cryptocurrency, to the list of officials of the Bolivarian Government for whom the Trump’s administration is offering rewards.
“Today, the U.S. announced a reward for information to bring another Maduro regime official responsible for international transnational organized crime to justice. We will continue working with @TheJusticeDept to protect U.S citizens and help Venezuelans restore their democracy, posted the U.S Secretary of State on Twitter.
Foreign Minister Arreaza also mentioned the widespread unrest shaking the United States after 46-year-old African-American Goerge Floyd was killed as a result of mechanical asphyxiation by a white police officer on May 25 and that has sparked the strongest race riots since the assassination of Martin Luther King in 1968.
