Ambassador of Venezuela presents copy of credentials to President of Singapore Halimah Yacob
Ambassador Jessica López Piña presented her credentials on Tuesday to the President of the Republic of Singapore, Halimah Yacob, through a ceremony held via videoconference, from the presidential headquarters and the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Singapore, respectively.
During the connection, the Venezuelan ambassador had a brief conversation with President Halimah Yacob, to whom she conveyed the cordial and supportive greeting of President Nicolás Maduro Moros, especially at this time when the Covid-19 pandemic affects both countries.
The diplomat highlighted Singapore’s handling of the pandemic, indicating that its actions have served as an example for “our country and therefore, we have had a positive result in containing the spread of the virus”.
She said that she hopes to strengthen bilateral relations with the Republic of Singapore during her stay in the country.
For her part, President Halimah Yacob expressed her satisfaction for helping the South American nation in some way in this situation of the virus that affects humanity, and she hoped for López successes in her new functions, agreeing that she also hopes that bilateral relations between Venezuela and Singapore will be strengthened in the near future.
