Norwegian Communist Party expresses its solidarity with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela
The Norwegian Communist Party (NKP) strongly condemns the new aggressive act, which US imperialism and right-wing extremists in Venezuela carried out on Sunday, May 3, against Venezuela. A group of mercenaries attempted to infiltrate the territory of Venezuela through the coast of the state of La Guaira. These were neutralized by the local Venezuelan militia and the State security forces.
Once again, it seems that the United States government, in collaboration with the terrorist government of Iván Duque in Colombia, continues its destabilizing actions against the sovereign State of Venezuela.
The NKP expresses its full support and solidarity with the Venezuelan people, the legitimate government of President Nicolás Maduro Moros and the Bolivarian revolution, which became victims of a new and dangerous aggression by the US regime and the fascist right of the country.
We call for international solidarity with the Bolivian Republic of Venezuela and the right of its people to freely decide their own future, against violence, economic war, and the blockade of US imperialism.
The NKP requires that the United States government show respect for international law. We demand a constructive dialogue with the Venezuelan government in accordance with the principles of sovereignty, not interference with the internal affairs and self-determination of the States.
We demand respect for Latin American countries and the principles of the Declaration of the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace signed in Havana in January 2014.
Long live to international solidarity, proletarian internationalism. Peace, freedom and socialism!
